We are looking for a full-time highly motivated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented laboratory research assistant for a minimum 2-year commitment to study the genetic determinants of human neurological diseases with a special focus on epilepsy. The scope of our research activities broadly includes working with human brain tissue, cell culture experiments, and mouse modeling work. There will be opportunities for independent projects with the expectation that the RA will contribute to peer-reviewed publications. The RA will be directly supervised and reports to Dr. Sattar Khoshkhoo, and will be part of a larger research group of Dr. Chris Walsh at Boston Children's Hospital. The experience is uniquely suited to students pursuing graduate school or a career at the biomedical translational interface. Candidates who plan to pursue PhD or MD/PhD programs will be given preference.
