What You'll Do

As an MDM Architect at Sogeti you will have the opportunity to:

  • Guide business users to gain maximum value from data.
  • Work in a lead role with data stewards, architects, and business analysts to identify the information users need, the meaning, the source, and the data quality objectives.
  • Strategically design, develop, and implement conceptual, logical and physical data models for enterprise-level MDM applications and systems.
  • Work with architects and developers to align the enterprise data models with relevant canonical structures and ensure that physical data models align with applications needs.
  • Address issues of master data definition, metadata acquisition, and data migration including data profiling, validations, clean-up and remediation, and source to target mapping.
  • Develop and maintain a formal description of master domain metadata and related data structures including data definitions, data models, data flow diagrams, etc.
  • Work with and support the Data Governance council and Business Analysts as a technical subject matter expert.
  • Enable automated review and analysis of data landscape through data lineage and metadata practices.
Minimum education qualification
  • A bachelor's degree in any discipline. MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Extensive experience with applied data profiling concepts, tools, and methods such as: Informatica Data Explorer, SQL Server SSIS Profiler, Business Objects Data Insight.
  • Proven experience with ETL Tools such as: SQL Server Integration Services, Informatica Power Center, and Datastage.
  • Extensive experience documenting Data Standards including data domains, validation rules, and data dependencies and source to target mappings.
  • Ability to discover under-utilized Objects, misuse of Data Definitions and violation of defined business rules.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
