Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Handle moderately complex*/challenging claims issues
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of claims forms
  • Investigate moderately complex* coverage questions and problems
  • Monitor claims activities and results
  • Facilitate the resolution of claims on assigned accounts by acting as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers
  • Lead client presentations related to claims
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
*Complexity is based on the degree of uncertainty, financial risk, technical requirements, urgency, and volume or size.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3 to 5 years of insurance claims related experience
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Effective customer service skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
