As a Release Engineering Manager for the Test Automation Environment Team, you will contribute to the creation of high quality, robust InterSystems software by leading a team of Automation Engineers in the development and refinement of frameworks and tools that enable the automated testing of InterSystems product.

If you are passionate about software development and development management, you will excel in this role by specifying and building frameworks and tools and that verify new technologies of InterSystems IRIS® product family. Successfully, we will use your strong technical capabilities, curiosity to learn new things, creativity, and resourcefulness as an essential part of InterSystems' innovation process.

This is a hands-on position, where the manager will be contributing on a limited basis as a technical contributor. The majority of the position though is in management and leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a growing engineering team to optimize the quality and velocity of both development and operations.
• Ensure proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables.
• Lead team to develop Infrastructure as Code and Cloud Infrastructure Automation.
• Stay up to date on emerging technology and industry trends to develop visions and strategies for the future.
• Define secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect highly resilient cloud systems capable of high availability and scale.
• Deploy software artifacts to public cloud providers like AWS, Azure or GCP.

Qualifications:

• BS or MS (preferred) in Computer Science or equivalent; (Physics, Mathematics, STEM)
• 5+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer, and/or DevOps Engineer.
• 1+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience with cloud topologies and technologies, including demonstrated experience with at least one major cloud provider.
• Exposure to concepts and languages such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Immutable Infrastructure, High Availability, PowerShell, Bash, Python and YAML.
• Experience working with Unix/Linux/Windows Platforms and Containers.
• Exposure to DevOps, GitOps, CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and/or Terraform.
• Experience with source code repositories such as Github, Gitlab and Perforce.
• Comfortable with technologies used in automation such as REST, JSON, SSL/TLS, PKI, IAM and SSH.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.
