This person will be responsible for providing exceptional care within our Cardiac Cath Lab. This position is responsible for the deliverance of safe patient care to the adult patient under the direct supervision of a physician. These responsibilities including assisting in invasive cardiology procedures, hemodynamic and patient monitoring, administering of moderate sedation, patient education, use of radiological imaging equipment, set up of sterile fields. Nurse will be responsible for one-to-one direct patient care throughout procedure including circulating, administering moderate sedation medications, noticing changes in patient status during procedure, and giving sterile equipment to operators.

Exceptional Patient Care: Contributes to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that impact patient care positively.
Excellent Communicator: Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with admin, colleagues, patients and family member.
Strong Educator: Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided.
Technical Familiarity: Understanding in computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation), email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
Active Teamwork: Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred.
Licensure: Current Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
Certification: CPR and ACLS certification required.

About Trinity Health Of New England:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
Experience: Acute care, Medical-Surgical, Cardiac telemetry or Cath Lab experience preferred.
