Essential Functions and Primary Duties

• Work closely with Client Team to support client retention and new business production
• Understand client or prospect needs and submit coverage specifications and obtain quotes from potential carriers
• Serve as a primary internal source for information concerning market trends, pricing practices, and other underwriting policies
• Work on risk solutions that are complex
• Responsible for negotiations and transaction management with carriers/markets
• Identify needs for new products and suggest innovative solutions to Client Team
• Review all analysis prior to presentation to Client Team
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

*Complexity is based on the degree of uncertainty, financial risk, technical requirements, urgency, and volume or size.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least 5 years of insurance carrier placement experience
• Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
• Advanced customer service skills
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
