RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in San Diego, CA that is seeking a RCM AR Follow Up Phone Representative.Responsibilities include the following:
  • In this role, the RCM AR Follow Up Phone Representative will be managing a variety of billing and follow-up tasks related to claims processing
  • Contacting responsible parties to resolve claims that have not been adjudicated, investigate account status and initiate collections
  • Resubmit claims and following up on appeal status with payers to resolve outstanding balance
  • Identify problem accounts with payers, investigating and correcting errors
  • The RCM AR Follow Up Phone Representative will be working directly with the insurance companies, liable third parties, and patient to get a claim processed and paid
  • Supporting continuous improvement of organization processes and personal knowledge and skills, while maintaining and protecting confidential information
  • Providing excellent customer service while establishing favorable relationships with insurance payors
  • As a RCM AR Follow Up Phone Representative, you will be meeting productivity and quality standards


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of related experience in medical collections, or completion of a medical billing vocational school
  • Should be Revenue Cycle familiar with accessing Medical Coding (CPT & Diagnostic Codes) and HIPPA rules and regulations
  • Should understand medical terminology, EOB's and CMS 1500's and insurance classifications such as HMO, PPO, Medicare and private insurances
  • Familiarity with insurance plans, third party administrators, and governmental rules and regulations preferred
  • Able to work with high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer skills required to operate practice management system (i.e., use Window operating system, conduct Internet searches, communicate by email, etc.)


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
