Job Summary: Responsible for any combination of operationaltechnical duties which require a high degree of accuracy in one or more of the following functions: seat prototype production and testing;operating and maintaining machinery, tooling and test equipment; performing thebuild-up of test articles, setting up equipment; accomplishing testing; collecting,analyzing, and reporting test data. Operate within key performance indicatorsand metrics to help foster a performance driven culture.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Assist in the design and fabrication of fixtures as required. May fabricate parts necessary for build-up of test articles.
  • Accomplish all testing and data acquisition, analysis, and reporting of resulting test data in accordance with approved test plans.
  • Perform the repair and upkeep of all test-related equipment to ensure maximum reliability during testing.
  • Minimize downtime, overtime and establish ownership and responsibility for work content and accountability for performance.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance of all machinery and equipment.
  • Review all regulatory requirements applicable to each operation and perform duties within the regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to all HCS standards of quality and FAA regulations.
  • Follow proper paperwork and documentation procedures.
  • Comply with safety and company policies and use protective equipment as required.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum

•Highschool diploma or equivalent

•Three(3) years of experience with mechanical systems - including hydraulic andpneumatic systems.

Familiarity with a diverse range of materials(i.e. aluminum alloys, stainless steel alloys, engineering polymers,composites, etc.)

•Abilityto read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical data

•Stronganalytical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

•Basiccomputer skills and must be proficient with Microsoft Windows

•Read,write, speak and understand the English language

Preferred

•Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering orequivalent level of experience

•Experience working aircraft interior productsenvironment

•Experience with dynamic, static, reliability,or flammability testing as applied to aircraft seating

•Experience with data acquisition, coordinatemeasurement or photometric equipment

•Experience with robotic, hydraulic or pneumatictest rigs and equipment

Physical Requirements:
  • May be required to lift up to lift 50 lbs.
  • Subject to continual loud noises
  • Visual acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stand for prolonged periods of time; climb steps, ladders and/or service stands
  • Must be able to wear and breathe through a respirator
  • Must be able to safely work around hazardous chemicals, solvents, resins and adhesives
