We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Product Development Engineer to join the Kimberly-Clark Professional Global Product Development Team, focused on executing large scale supplier qualifications, innovation, and renovation plans in the skincare category. Specifically, this person will work to provide a cadence of brand-led innovation and renovation product launches across the globe enabling Kimberly-Clark Professional to remain differentiated in the marketplace. This role will also devote time to business support and brand maintenance activities as directed by business needs.

The role is critical to maintaining our leadership position in the skincare categories. The incumbent will be a key contributor to executing on brand-led innovation, renovation, and business support plans, working cross-functionally to ensure products meet established brand standards and regulatory and quality guidelines. This position requires an individual who thrives in a global environment and brings forward subject matter knowledge in the soap and sanitizer categories as well as a solid understanding of skincare regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will:

  • Providing formulation expertise to the team as new products are developed or renovating current products
  • Driving business support needs to enable regional quality and regulatory requirements
  • Partnering with Category & R&E program leaders to establish a cadence of product innovation
  • Working with regional teams to execute scalable renovations
  • Leading qualification or commercialization activities for identified solutions with a working knowledge of external contract manufacturing and supplier qualification processes
  • Work effectively with across regional and global cross-functional teams such as quality, product safety, regulatory, manufacturing and supply chain teams
  • Plan and carry out project responsibilities with limited assistance and direction
  • Communicate and document project plans and results to key stakeholders
  • Develop robust timelines, budgets, and resource forecasts

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemistry, Formulated Sciences, a related major scientific field or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • 5+ years of experience in a variety of technical assignments in a professional R&D or engineering capacity
  • 5+ years experience driving formulated product development with keen understanding of formulation science and product scale up in manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes
  • A track record of strong project leadership capabilities and communication/stakeholder management skills
