The Center for Technology Research and Innovation (CTRI) is at the forefront of moving Toro into a new generation of autonomous operations. From residential mowing to golf course management, Toro is forging a new path in the way people maintain and beautify the world. We are looking for a candidate to help us on our path towards fully autonomous operations.

This is part of The Toro Company's 2023 Summer Internship Program. The internship program will last 12 weeks, from May 22nd through August 11th, 2023 (negotiable). This specific position is a part of the CTRI division, and the candidate will assist with real-time embedded software development and testing for autonomous robotic mowers.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Work with the development team during the testing and release of software builds
  • Assist with the automated embedded software build and release process, both on-demand and using a predetermined schedule
  • Assist engineers in the programming and development of real-time embedded software running on the autonomous robots

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • College student studying computer science, electrical, or other STEM degrees with an emphasis on microcontroller software development
  • C/C++ programming experience on a popular microcontroller or embedded microprocessor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
