The company's current offices and manufacturing operations in Kent, WA, will remain intact with no consolidations or reductions planned.

Our Kent, WA location at OMAX is currently recruiting a full-time Quality Assurance Inspector. In this position, you will assure that internal and external customers receive a product that meets the functional and quality requirements as defined by Engineering and Marketing and have an opportunity to become an associate of an amazing company. In addition, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Assure that parts and assemblies manufactured in-house and from outside vendors meet quality levels established by OMAX, engineering drawings and other documented specifications
  • Perform inspections on parts and assemblies using standard inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparator, thread plug and ring gauges, bore gauges and pins
  • Perform inspections on parts using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) required
  • Support and participate in activities that continuously improve the processes and safety of the Inspection and Final Test areas
  • This position may work First or Second Shift


Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required and a minimum of 5 years of experience in dimensional inspection of machined parts and assembly inspection as well as testing of manufactured products. Working knowledge of machining and manufacturing procedures, materials and processes and able to routinely lift 40 pounds. Proficient and knowledgeable of inspection hand tools, such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, height gauges. Must be committed to improving individuals, processes and products with general computer skills and experience in Windows Office applications. Experience with Weld Inspection, Supplier Quality processes, ISO 9000, and/or Lean Principles desirable.
