Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for promoting quality/safety/environmental achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization. Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the Quality Management System and safety system. Monitor workplace activities to ensure that workers comply with company policies and government safety regulations. Take responsibilities pertaining to policy development, safety inspections, safety training and compliance with the federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration, commonly known as OSHA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the company's Quality Management System including the following processes: document control, CAPA, material review board, change control, management review, quality policy and objectives, control of inspection, measuring, and test equipment, RMA, and training.
  • Organize and manage quality assurance function in close co-operation with the Company's Management team (Member of Management Team).
  • Manage the company's internal audit process and maintain ISO certification.
  • Liaise with customers' auditors and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications; meet with customers regarding quality issues and audits.
  • Effectively interact with Production and Development teams to maintain quality and reliability of product.
  • Develop and manage program to monitor customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for designing a safety program consistent with OSHA requirements that sets up processes to reduce accidents and work-related injuries.
  • Acts as a liaison between the company and OSHA.
  • Responsible for designing procedures and forms for internal reporting of compliance with safety procedures as well as program violations, curative steps, accidents and injuries.
  • Responsible for analyzing workforce accidents and injuries to determine where process changes, communication or training needs improvement.
  • Develops and manages reports for company management.
  • Recommends and implements program changes where necessary.
  • Responsible for leading the company safety committee and maintain company's behavior based safety program (STOP).
  • Responsible for developing and monitoring environmental policies and coordinating with various environmental agencies

MINIMUM EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in specialized field i.e. Engineering, Business, etc., or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7 years prior experience in a Quality and/or manufacturing safety role.
  • Project Management experience required.
