Merakey is looking for a Psychiatrist in our facility in Pittsburgh, PA. Merakey's Dual Diagnosis Treatment Team (DDTT) is a community-based program, providing treatment, support, and education to adults dually diagnosed with both a Mental Illness and Intellectual Development Disability. Individuals referred to DDTT are in crisis, at risk of losing community tenure, and/or are transitioning from acute care hospitalization. DDTT is comprised of a specialized mobile team of professionals including a Psychiatrist, Behavioral Specialist, Recovery Coordinators, Psychiatric Nurse, and Pharmacist.

Schedule: 16-20 hours per week telepsych, must be able to come on site one day per month

Duties:

As a member of the DDTT, the Psychiatrist is qualified in the mental health profession, and possesses the clinical skills and experience to assess, plan, develop, coordinate and provide psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation.

Drives the clinical treatment and medication management of individuals served.

Sign off on treatment plans

Complete 6 month re-evaluations during onsite days

Merakey will train provider in DDTT and provide all the equipment necessary.

• Psychiatrist licensed in PA.

• 1 year clinical experience working with adults with mental illness and developmental disabilities (Dually Diagnosed).

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of dually diagnosed individuals, recovery principles and recovery driven service system.

• Professional credentials should be current as dictated by the State licensing standards and Professional Licensing Board.

• Valid PA Driver's License and appropriate state and federal clearances.
