ABOUT THE JOB
The Dr. Eugene D. Glynn Manhattan North Counseling Center serves clients living in the Washington Heights and Inwood areas of Manhattan who are struggling with a range of emotional and social problems. The clinic offers counseling and case management services to families as well as individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. This site offers Spanish-language groups.

As a part of the clinical team, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide care to clients who are experiencing a wide range of behavioral health issues. The services for adults and children include:

  • Psychiatric evaluation;
  • Medication management;
  • Crisis intervention, and;
  • Clinical consultation to the treatment team.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Providing psychiatric services, which include: provision of a full psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, medication management and follow up coordination with the clinical team.
  • Participating in shared decision making with the client and the clinical team

TO QUALIFY
The Jewish Board is currently looking for a talented Nurse Practitioners of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications:

  • A Nurse Practitioner degree with specialized training or experience in psychiatry.
  • A current license to practice as a nurse practitioner in NYS.
  • A current DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
  • ANCC certification/pending application.
  • NYS OPRA status and a Health Commerce Account at the onset of employment
  • Specialization with specific populations (such as child/adolescent) or settings and language competency for the population served may also be required.
