As a Project Manager I, you will define, plan, and deliver projects that require cross-functional collaboration and management of inter-dependencies between a group of workstreams and/or related activities within the constraint of scope, quality, time and budget. Includes the management of a group of matrixed employees and contractors that serve on the project to deliver solutions for the business.

As a member of this team, you will manage product development, project implementation, obtain requirements, evaluate and determine the objectives, goals, and scope of projects and overcome barriers. You will be responsible for networking across organizations to drive initiatives, strategies, issue resolutions, and alignment. This includes creating, monitoring, and providing ongoing communications to appropriate stakeholders while coaching and facilitating the effectiveness of a team by growing their capabilities to organize, manage, and make decisions. You will also identify risk areas and provide alternative strategies to leadership that addresses concerns as well as manage interdependencies or dependencies between projects in addition to managing project process documentation.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Executive Sponsor and Business Owner of a Project, and other management as required, to achieve the project objectives.
  • Work with business and technical team/s to drive out project strategy and approach. Organize, plan, and maintain the project roadmap consisting of cross-functional activities.
  • Work with business and technical organizations to assemble project teams. Lead Project and/or Project team in the development and maintenance of comprehensive plans for a defined Project.
  • Acquire an understanding of the business objectives for an assigned area.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on Project status inclusive of scope, schedule, budget, and alignment to Project and strategic goals. Direct corrective action, as needed, to maintain the viability of the Project.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships. Deliver presentations of project status to effectively communicate throughout the project life cycle.
  • Adhere to the Organization's project management methods, project life-cycle methodologies, and audit requirements. Support and contribute to the improvement of project management methods and practices.

You'll be working alongside subject matter experts in Health Information Technology. We need someone who enjoys a good challenge and is excited about helping take our organization to the next level. You should be a self-starter who will and dig in, working with limited supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • At least 2 years of project management work experience.
  • Experience providing regular reports and summaries to management.
  • Microsoft Project or other PM tools, 2 years.
  • Lean, Waterfall, Agile PM.
  • Agile knowledge.
  • Strong professionalism and strong interpersonal skills required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Project governance certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.).
  • Other Project management certifications (Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Working at a healthcare organization, 1 year.
  • Advanced knowledge of current IT and Healthcare technologies.
  • Practical knowledge and training in healthcare privacy and data.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Previous demonstrated experience leading Business/technical projects, building project plans, and leading project meetings.
  • Strong project delivery skills - accurate project planning, deliver to milestone dates, manages resources effectively, communicate status effectively, manage risks, and can juggle multiple activities at once to accomplish goals.
  • Experience working with MS Project, JIRA, SmartSheets, Confluence, or other similar PM tools.
  • Solid technical skills including working knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the corporate mission.
  • Ability to work flexible and able to multitask; self-motivated and can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
  • Exemplary communication skills (written, presentation, meeting management, and documentation).
  • Experience partnering with other project stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate project impacts.
  • A results-oriented outlook with the ability to prioritize and deliver key initiatives.
  • Highly adaptable to changing needs within the organization - adapts to rapidly changing priorities.

  • Please note: Our organization is currently operating 80% to 90% remote.
