ANDRITZ METALS Inc. is seeking a self-motivated, entry level Project Manager with an engineering background in the Steel, Aluminum, or Industrial manufacturing areas.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BS degree in electrical and/or automation engineering, mechanical, chemical or metallurgical engineering
  • Strong electrical/automation engineering background for process systems
  • Min. 5 years working experience in the metals or industrial environment as a project engineer or project manager
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Able to read and interpret contracts and project requirements
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate effectively on various levels, verbally and in writing is essential
  • Fluent in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project and Autocad
  • Understand project budgets and how to manage project budgets
  • Able to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem
  • Possess solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
PRINCIPAL DUTIES

Major responsibilities are listed but not necessarily limited to the following duties:
  • Set up new projects in SAP and manage the customer orders utilizing SAP
  • Develop a detailed project plan for each project which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project and to track progress
  • Manage the projects during all phases (engineering, manufacturing, delivery, construction) and expedite all internal and external sources to meet the project schedule and budget
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Monitor project costs and report monthly on project execution progress and financial situation
  • Manage and update the project schedule
  • Manage and resolve project stakeholder issues
  • Travel to project site location as needed in the US and globally
