The Role
This position is for a senior project management analyst in support of the Propulsion Plant Monitoring and Control (PPMC) software integration group within the Gerald R. Ford Class Aircraft Carrier Propulsion Plant Planning Yard (PPPY) Control and Information Systems (CIS) department. Specifically, the candidate selected to fill this role will interface with internal and external customers in the creation and maintenance of various ship schedules, which track the planning, development, and testing for reactor plant ship modifications and ship alterations supporting the PPMC system. This involves regular communication and interaction with personnel across the PPPY and other NNS departments, software vendors, as well as NNL and NAVSEA customers in preparation for weekly and monthly status meetings/briefings.
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
