Job Description

Role Summary

The Project Coordinator - Finance Business Unit will partner with the Global Business Unit Director - Finance in supporting the Finance Business Unit on day-to-day business operations and strategic initiatives, with a focus on financial management and performance, management reporting, maintaining routine and ad hoc management and team infrastructure, carrying firm initiatives forward, recreational activities and special projects. The Project Coordinator will also work directly and collaboratively with lawyers and business services colleagues to implement firm projects within the business unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and manage information, conduct research and analysis, and prepare customized presentations and reports associated with key business performance metrics
  • Support business unit's routine, ad hoc and year-end inventory management activities, including organizing billing and collections outreach, inventory report generation, keeping inventory management databases up to date and following up on action items until completion
  • Contribute to business unit successfully meeting deliverables in annual Management Process Calendar, including processes covering performance management, business planning and partner and counsel promotions
  • Plan and coordinate routine and ad hoc meetings for the business unit, ensuring projects are moving forward with the right people present
  • Oversee time diary monitoring and compliance
  • Maintain onboarding processes to confirm and oversee the successful integration of all new members of the team
  • Coordinate business unit departure procedures for members of the team
  • Identify opportunities and solutions to enhance efficiency of business processes and practice management across the business unit
  • Participate in planning of events to foster morale
  • Assist with various special projects both for the business unit and as part of larger firm initiatives
  • Lead and engage in other high-value special projects to support the teams, practice groups, business unit and the firm
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word


Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2-5 years of experience in a fast-paced law firm or corporate business environment preferred


Physical Activity/Other Miscellaneous
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours as needed and communicate outside of standard business hours
