Stellantis is seeking a Project Analyst to be based out of our Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit, Michigan.

What you'll do:

This position is responsible for monthly forecast of G&A, PP&L and expense costs for Assembly Engineering groups, analysis on the monthly costs, and management reporting of the costs and associated variances. Annual budgets must also be prepared. Capital investment responsibilities include project writing, daily management and labor booking. This position also tracks and updates requisition workflows for non-project requisitions. The Analyst is expected to understand the cost structure of each of the departments, ensure accurate accounting and identify efficiencies which can be incorporated into the position and enhancements to management reporting.

The position requires an individual with relevant accounting and financial reporting experience and who is able to leverage prior experience into fresh ideas and concepts. The Analyst must have working knowledge of PentaSAP, EssBase, ARRS and Microsoft office.

Primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare and review monthly financial reports for management
  • Prepare monthly accrual JV's to accurately report period costs
  • Request process engineering labor from VLM, book in Salary Hours and settle the costs in PentaSap
  • Drive continuous improvement and process redesign initiatives throughout the team
  • Assist in special project
  • Coordinate SOX compliance, including documentation, process flows and testing as required
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with various operating departments and serve as a valuable resource in areas of expertise
  • Maintain and ensure that non-project requisition workflows are accurate and meet UDA requirements
  • Prepare annual business plan for all relevant engineering groups
  • Write projects, make required changes and updates. Also, reconcile, close and capitalize the projects prior to the established project close date
  • Cost Deployment continuous improvement activities reviewing and approving Kaizen project Savings, development of new CD iterations, and monthly reporting

What you'll learn:

  • Ad hoc assignments as needed by Manufacturing Finance.
  • Forecasting and ledger activity for selected engineering groups.
  • Group/engineering NNM project writing and maintenance.
  • Ensure that the engineering groups supporting NM capital investment are managed in accordance with the funding allocated to produce the new vehicles.

  • Exposure to all levels of engineering personal, including the preparation and presentation of a single reporting package for all areas.
