Summary

Responsible for driving new programs from concept to launch. Responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of project plan. Actively manages program to ensure budget, deliverables, timing, and targets are met. Initiates all necessary support activities for rest of Product Life Cycle. Contributes to enhancing program management knowledge for new Program Managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead programs from concept to launch by interfacing, coordinating, and supporting cross functional teams across several disciplines such as engineering, quality, logistics, and purchasing
  • Manage and interface with internal global, regional, and functional teams in regards to program
  • Develop and execute Project Plan (project structure; project phases, schedule and milestones; project organization, etc)
  • Obtain commitment from all core team members for complete Project Plan
  • Organize and execute Project Meetings (weekly team meetings, project reviews, quality gates, etc)
  • Track, manage, oversee and report on all program deliverables (financials, quality, timing, technical specifications, etc.) and status. Execute Project Reviews & Escalation [e.g. MSP approval, PRC & other reviews].
  • Project Budget & Cost: Manage consolidated program costs, profitability, and budget. plan, get approval, update & control [including Capex, ROS] - in all involved regions.
  • Project Risk Management: execute assessment, make proposals for risk mitigation, update, control [e.g. feasibility, intellectual property rights, contract performance over all tiers for internal and external suppliers]
  • Organize & Control Project Changes
[including product, process, quality & other business parameters].
  • Manage, drive, and own timing and change management deliverables
  • Provide "voice" to and from the customer (in alignment with Sales), serve as filter, and drive consensus on all technical aspects between customer and company objectives
  • Define and assure customer reimbursements
  • Ensure application of all standardized methods, tools and forms (PDP (PTO), APQP)
  • Travel to multiple MAHLE production sites (15%-25%)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business (Masters preferred)
  • Experience in program management is required. Experience in managing automotive programs is preferred
  • Experience working in a Global environment with remote teams using program management tools (MS Project, Quality tools, risk Planning & Assessment)
  • Understanding of the formal and informal structures within the organization in order to "get things done"
  • Ability to analyze problems from different perspectives, to be able to recognize and consider relevant influencing factors and consequences for the solution, and to apply suitable methods for reaching defined objectives.
  • Plans effectively with both internal teams and customers
  • Documents, updates, revises, and distributes program timelines/milestones
  • Monitors program status
  • Holds all required meetings
  • Handles multiple programs from inception to final launch
  • Effectively resolves issues to solve problems.
  • Documents and follow-ups that decisions were implemented.
  • Works proactively within the program structure to ensure decision making at the appropriate levels.
