Responsibilities

Executing the Career Center's employer engagement strategy to increase students' career development, preparedness, and recruitment opportunities such as internships and other experiential learning industry engagement, and full-time roles.

Actively drive internal and external engagement, ensuring the development of strategic partnerships, signature programs, key employer connections, new initiatives, and recruitment activities. Duties include industry research, direct outreach, follow-ups, and data tracking, all aimed at ensuring positive post-graduation career outcomes. The role requires relationship building with campus partners, stakeholders, and employers through effective communication channels like face-to-face interactions, tailored messaging, calls, and consultations.

Responsibilities also include aiding the Career Center's employer-related activities, such as on-campus engagement, programs, and career events, providing logistical support, management, and ongoing assessment. This position will provide oversight of one employer relations program, such as Employer In Residence, and will provide significant support for the Career Center's Partner Program.

Work directly with the Program Director, Employer Relations, to infuse Career Center Partner engagement activities across campus to ensure Partner recruitment goals are met.

Provide support across Career Center services, initiatives, and programs by presenting workshops, offering student career advising, and resources, and serving on internal Career Center committees as well as university-wide committees.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to eight years. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Ability to interpret academic program requirements and provide advice.

Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Ability to utilize problem solving skills.

Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.

Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.

Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.

Knowledge of career counseling tools and resources.

Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of career counseling and development.

Anticipated Salary Range

The anticipated salary for this position is in the upper $40,000, commensurate with experience and education.
