Hagerty has successfully helped clients navigate some of the nation's largest disasters, including 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Maria, Hurricane Michael, and COVID-19. In recent years, Hagerty has worked side-by-side with state and local governments across the country to rapidly respond to industrial accidents, wildfires, and pandemics while also supporting the transition to and management of recovery operations. Our professionals have supported response and recovery programs coast-to-coast, providing financial and grant management support throughout the recovery process, from grant formulation through closeout. In partnership with our clients, Hagerty's professionals have developed and managed more than $30 billion in disaster recovery grants for our clients.
This opportunity is open to candidates that desire full-time employment with benefits. Positions are remote, with occasional travel to client sites as necessary.
The responsibilities of the Program Management Consultant will include, but not be limited to:

  • Project Management and Execution
    • Manage project engagements or ARPA related workstreams with state and local clients implementing ARPA related programs.
    • Form trusted advisor relationships with client leadership and executive staff.
    • Provide strategic guidance to clients on ARPA programs and implementation of programs utilizing ARPA funds.
    • Maintain fluency of all ARPA policy to enable relevant guidance to be delivered to clients.
    • Provide cost benefit analysis of ARPA programs and decision tools for ARPA funding allocation.
    • Develop financial modeling analysis and tools to contribute to unmet needs assessments to inform ARPA program selection.
    • Provide forward looking guidance and program design expertise on ARPA, related programs, and other financial/grant opportunities to state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) clients.
    • Collect, analyze, organize, and summarize financial / grant data.
    • Work with the Hagerty Project Executive to master the contract scope and terms for each assigned client to enable quick and efficient decision making on service offerings.
    • Employ ongoing risk management, identifying and overcoming challenging circumstances in project delivery or that pose risk to the firm's brand.
    • Assist the Project Executive and Hagerty leadership in identifying talent to execute ARPA related engagements.
    • When necessary, travel to client sites to execute the project work plan and facilitate meetings.
  • Busines Development
    • As requested, represent the firm with prospective clients while possessing the knowledge and understanding of Hagerty services to enable direct sales to clients.
    • Understand firm offerings and the structure of Hagerty's request for proposal template to align prospective client conversations and future scope with the core capabilities of the firm.
    • Assist with the development and review of responses to requests for proposals.
  • Brand Development
    • Represent the firm at industry conferences through speaking engagements and attendance.
    • Provide thought leadership on ongoing ARPA developments and best practices by developing content for Disaster Discourse, the Hagerty Blog; social media posts; and serving as a speaker or panelist at conferences.
  • Strategic Collaboration and Leadership
    • Work with Hagerty's leadership team to strategically guide firm ARPA offering development.
    • Support Marketing and Operations in development of one pagers, presentations, and other marketing materials; participate in business development meetings and calls to explain Hagerty capabilities; and contribute to Hagerty proposals.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least five (5) years of professional experience.
  • Previous experience in a management consulting or accounting setting.
  • Demonstrated past performance serving states and local governments in financial/grant program development and administration.
  • Demonstrated past performance in financial analysis and monitoring/oversight of grants.
  • Knowledge of consulting/business practices.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools.
  • The capability to balance multiple high-priority assignments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to provide writing samples.
  • A bachelor's degree.
