Program Director, Breast Pathology Service

Job Description

The Director of Breast Pathology Service provides oversight, guidance, and leadership to the graduate student enrolled in the breast pathology training program in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

Term of Appointment

The Program Director serves a maximum term of four years and is eligible for reappointment.

Qualifications

The Program Director must have a formal education at the MD, DO, and/or PhD degree level, demonstrate career experiences relevant to the position, and be able to demonstrate a record of excellence in teaching, education, and scholarly activity.

List of Responsibilities

• Provide educational training to graduate students in breast pathology fellowship program
  

• Organize the structure and coordination of the breast pathology fellowship program
  
• Promote research scholarship by the graduate student in breast pathology fellowship program
  
• Play a supporting role for individual faculty involved in the breast pathology fellowship program
  
• Provide an annual report of the breast pathology graduate student and fellowship program for the VC of Education
  
• Assist with determining the financial needs of the breast pathology fellowship program
  

• Support the role of Vice Chair of Education
