Paid Time Off: Hourly Personnel: 72 hours annually. Paid Sick Leave: 1 hour for every 40 hours worked. Eligibility to roll up to 40 hours from PTO and PSL banks to the next year. Exempt Personnel: 120 hrs annually; balance increases each year by 8 hours. Roll over up to 80 hours each year.
Holidays: 12 paid holidays and up to 3 additional floating holidays based on hire date

SUMMARY OF JOB CONTENTS

This position is a salaried exempt position responsible for the production planning activities for the site.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develops project plans; coordinates projects; communicates changes and progress.
  • Develops workable implementation plans
  • Develops strategies to achieve organizational goals; understands organization's strengths & weaknesses; Identifies external threats and opportunities; adapts strategy to changing conditions. Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process.
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; develops realistic action plans within the scope of this position.
  • Review, maintain, and communicate the production plan (Master Schedule) for the Moses Lake facility with production management.
  • Manages the finite scheduling and production order generation process.
  • Regulates and adjusts Moses Lake inventory levels with a view toward customer satisfaction and business objectives.
  • Ensures that the supply plan meets the demand plan in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible within authority level of position.
  • Establishes and monitors appropriate supply side metrics.
  • Provides and communicates delivery dates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the department/site goals

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university, or equivalent qualification gained through professional training and experience during career.
  • 1 year work experience in a computer based MPS / MRP production-planning environment.
  • Experienced in the implementation of detailed production planning procedures and the execution of planning programs.
  • Must be able to communicate well, both verbally and in a written format. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
  • Must be able to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must be experienced with MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Able to effectively motivate others to ensure quality and timeliness of planning information.
  • APICS certification or desire to obtain certification.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
