Vertiv is hiring a Production Planner in Lincoln, NE to work with sales, purchasing and the manufacturing groups to develop a master schedule and requirements based on make to stock and make to order sales. Produces and releases work orders to Production, monitors production activity and timing and communicates with appropriate departments to achieve a flow of product throughout the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop a master schedule for the facility that is based on sales orders, historic analysis and stocking level requirements
• Determine and release needed work orders based on the master schedule and inputs from sales demand, production on hand, open orders, and backlogs
• Monitor the status and completion of work orders, on hand inventories and raw materials to confirm the availability of requirements to meet production and shipping needs
• Communicate any shortages or additional resources needed to support the work schedule requirements
• Collect, review and/or update production reports for each process to ensure standards, times and percentages are accurate
• Monitor product sales/material usage, both historical and budgetary for stocking and future planning purposes
• Prepare and administrate production planning documents for internal production scheduling, transportation, and sales commitments. Enhance and improve process
• Monitor plant supplies and production flow; notify appropriate personnel of machinery repairs or needed supplies
• Provide feedback to sales and shipping on timing of completion of made to order products
• Prepare plan performance reports as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good analytical/mathematical skills
• Ability to operate basic office equipment
• Ability to operate precision measuring equipment

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years experience scheduling in a manufacturing environment preferred, utilizing MRP, ERP and or SAP.
• High School Degree or equivalent work experience required
