Vertiv is hiring a night Production Manager in Lincoln, NE. Working under general supervision manage directly or through lead personnel, the activities of the production department to assure quality and that on time production is maintained in accord with established company standards and practices. Monday through Thursday 6 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and achieve productivity, quality, safety and cost targets.
  • Evaluate personnel requirements based on business and employee needs.
  • Recommend equipment, tooling, and processes to support business objectives.
  • Evaluate training requirements and request necessary training.
  • Conduct departmental meetings.
  • Report any equipment that is not in safe operating condition and remove it from use.
  • Maintain a good standard of housekeeping.
  • Train and instruct employees in the performance of their work, assigned jobs, and familiarize employees concerning company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.
  • Planning and scheduling production activities and supervising the production process.
  • Ensuring the effective management of production lines of an organization.
  • Making sure the good quality production of products on time.
  • Estimating production costs and determining the high quality standards.
  • Monitoring the production practices and setting the schedules as required.
  • Working out the material and human resources as needed.
  • Selecting and maintaining equipment, supervising product standards and enforcing quality-control programs.
  • Working with managers effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization.
  • Liaising with different departments such as suppliers, managers and so on to prevent any probable delay.
  • Supervising and inspiring team of workers and reviewing the work performance of subordinates.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • MSOffice, ERP systems experience
  • Data Driven Individual with an attention to detail
  • Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations.
  • Know all functions of the equipment including it's' capabilities and limitations.
  • Ability to develop and coach a team
  • Trained to safely operate a forklift.
  • Knowledge of ISO and Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • BS in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent preferred.
  • Ten years experience in production management, scheduling and assembly processes preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Light manufacturing
