What We Are Looking For

Come join the Tealium Product Operations Team as a Product Operations Manager. At Tealium, we know that at the center of every great company are great systems. Product Operations is its nucleus that fosters cross-functional collaboration and provides services for all Product disciplines and internal partners across the entire product lifecycle. Our mission is to ensure that the right people, processes, tools, and forums are in place for our business to achieve operational excellence and make our product team more agile, effective, and competitive in the market.

With that backdrop, the Product Operations Manager is a key role in supporting the realization of Tealium's long term product vision and that our products are being delivered to customers in a way that maximizes value. Specific areas of execution include developing operational processes, key performance indicators for health metric monitoring, templates, artifacts, and communication channels. As a team, we will work closely together, help each other, and learn from each other as we strive to optimize the quality and value creation of our product delivery process across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a solution oriented, go-getter who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, experience and knowledge in establishing product processes and protocols, and a proven track record helping teams mature using the Scrum and Agile principles to deliver value-based, complex technical solutions in large, Product-Led SaaS environments.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

    • Help senior leadership understand the big picture and how product portfolio performance is linked to company success.
    • Support Product Managers in all operational aspects of their work including playing the role of Scrum Master, guiding product development teams effectively adopting agile/scrum/lean principles and practices.
    • Identify, track, refine, and mature relevant operational and KPI metrics; use that data to formulate and drive improvement.
    • Coaching people to perform at their best.
    • Driving regular planning cycles and resource forecasting to ensure we are tracking against key milestones and that we are staffed for success.
    • Serve as a product ambassador for the company, scaling product knowledge, process and strategy across departments.
    • Identify and present operational concerns and recommendations to the Product Operations Director and cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Develop transparency around the Tealium product roadmap and create pathways for people to contribute ideas to solve our customer's biggest priorities.
    • Create organizational systems that accelerate product discovery by making it easy to democratize existing market and customer research and insights.
    • Create templates, automations, and artifacts that speed up product work.
    • Drive systematic processes for collecting, analyzing, and using data to fuel insights on usage, engagement, pain points, and opportunities.
    • Be relentless in the quest to improve everything we do, challenge the current situation if needed, and continuously identify opportunities to simplify, automate, standardize, disseminate and uphold best practices that achieve our operational goals.

WHAT YOU BRING TO TEALIUM

    • You have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in process management and delivering products in cross-functional teams from start to finish.
    • SaaS experience is a must.
    • You have experience implementing and activating tools across an organization, including portfolio management, BI, analytics, and software development tracking tools.
    • You have a profound appreciation and talent for simple solutions to complex problems.
    • You have a deep understanding of product management best practices and a strong affinity for product and operations.
    • You have experience using analytics, user research, and other approaches to help make decisions and iterate on a product.
    • You have hands-on experience in the Scrum Master role and possess a commanding knowledge of numerous patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach. CSM preferred.
    • You are extremely well versed in Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games; Familiarity with JIRA/Atlassian tools is a must.
    • You are detail oriented with team and time management skills - balancing multiple work threads, deadlines, and requests.
    • Your skills as a team leader and team player are outstanding; you are a master in leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
    • You are a phenomenal listener who's organizational, presentation, and communication skills (both verbal and written) are exceptional.
    • You know how to communicate effectively and persuasively with focus on building strong working relationships.
    • You have initiative, integrity, and dedication and are able to work with minimal supervision.
    • You have a sense of humor, are well-informed, intelligent, confident, and possess common sense.
    • Bonus Points:
    • Experience using Pendo.io to track and surface customer behavior insights.
    • Experience using Dragonboat.io for outcome focused portfolio management.
    • Experience applying JIRA/Atlassian tools to build and manage processes.
    • Knowledge of other Agile methods such as Kanban and SAFe.
    • Technical skills and an understanding of some code bases (Java, JavaScript, React).
