The Product Manager will be a leader within OXO product development and on the team that manages the Bath, Cleaning, and Tot categories. You will independently plan and lead the OXO Tot business and develop a long and short-term product strategy to ensure financial goals are met.

You are an expert in the juvenile industry and have an in depth understanding of consumer behavior in the space. You will also have complete knowledge of competitor products, their pricing, and features. By using market research, product research, product testing, pricing, and competitive analysis you will develop a strategic vision for the category. Identify new product opportunities that are compelling to customers and consumers and on brand. Develop, maintain, and implement a product development pipeline that will contribute to the company's overall financial goals, drive team revenue, and positively impact direct contribution.

The candidate will work closely with Product Engineers to identify and avoid product development risk and ensure that products in the pipeline are brought to market on schedule, meeting all milestone goals and are completed within budget.

Collaborate across multiple functions and work closely with upper management, marketing, brand design and sales about product features and benefits to help facilitate effective messaging and with the sourcing, operations, and logistics teams to effectively bring products to market. You will be able to sell your products to internal stakeholders as well as external partners when you meet with buyers or vendors.

Lead the existing category product portfolio and implement business strategies to grow and develop the category.

What you will be doing:

Lead and mentor others on the team and provide insight and guidance into category strategy. Ultimately your work will result in tools that daily living better for millions of people.

Strategic business planning for a major category of business including meeting financial goals (revenue and margin) and day to day category management


  • Planning a product pipeline, identifying opportunities, and implementing a long- and short-term strategic vision

  • Product development: work with design partners, and collaborate with product engineers to assess and avoid risk to bring products to market that meet brand, category, and financial objectives

  • Internal communication with upper management, marketing, brand design and sales to prioritize and build consensus around product development strategies

  • Building strong relationships with key vendors, strategic customers; build industry relationships

  • Product Line Maintenance, responding to quality concerns, participating in cost negotiations, and identifying and implementing product refreshes

  • Lead and Mentor product development assistants, product managers, or other team members

  • Participate in companywide initiatives to improve processes, functions, communications, and company culture

  • Collaborate and lead day to day responsibilities


Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Strong analysis ability relating to product lines and product line planning, profit margins, business trends, market segmentation, competitive research and trends, market research, and opportunity assessment

  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize and meet tight deadlines

  • Very organized with an eye for detail

  • Industry knowledge

  • Strong oral and written communication skills


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3 years as a Product Manager or 5+ years of relevant experience in a related field is required.

  • Hands-on research, product evaluation, testing, and user-validation skills

  • Strong project management and people leadership skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of Agile, Basecamp or other project management software

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
