Join a team of designers who are passionate about creating a cutting edge Virtual Reality experience and establishing VR Platform as an industry leader. You will be expected to use your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills, and you will own small features or pieces of a product experience that play to your strengths You'll be responsible for designing, researching, prototyping, and implementing features for incremental changes as well as future iterations. You'll work with and get feedback from the Design, Engineering and Product Management teams in Facebook Reality Labs. This position is an internship and based in Menlo Park or Los Angeles, California.
  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for people using our products
  • Work collaboratively with Product, Research and Engineering partners from concept through completion and future iterations
  • Own the end-to-end design (interaction, visual, etc.) on a small feature or piece of a product experience
  • Present designs, prototypes and concepts to cross functional partners and stakeholders
  • Provide implementation guidance to engineers and ensure features launch at the highest quality
  • Stay on top of industry trends and emerging technologies
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates a breadth of visual and interaction design skills
  • Experience working in a technical environment
  • Experience working with research and data to drive decision making
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
  • Experience designing for hardware products and new interaction models
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelors or Masters degree in a design related technical field
  • Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
