We have an excellent opportunity for a Process Engineer in our Troy, Ohio location.

In this position, the successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:

  • Provide support to develop and establish up-to-date workstation standards for each operation within assigned facility utilizing a consistent and technical approach.
  • Establish manpower requirements as assigned for all departments.
  • Perform time studies and establish cost standards for direct labor operations as assigned. Provide and maintain data for all direct labor operations.
  • In accordance with sound engineering principles and theory, analyze and resolve technical manufacturing equipment problems, develop specifications, formulate plans, estimates and other required data and effectively recommend same for approval.
  • Using process engineering techniques, increase efficiency of existing processes through identification and reduction of process waste.
  • Promote and support a lean manufacturing culture.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Maintenance and Product Engineering personnel to mutually resolve problems relative to and affecting engineering and technical operational procedures.
  • Develop plans to handle various assigned projects to successful completion, i.e., on-time, on-budget and in a professional manner. Assume responsibility for these projects as assigned.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance in the following areas:
    • Feasibility studies
    • Efficiency and Process Improvements
    • Major capital expenditures
    • Coordinating product changes with current manufacturing methods and develop new processes where required.
    • With Product Engineering and Design and Development staffs, coordinate the implementation of new products and/or product changes so to minimize costs and interruption to operations.

  • Provide technical support to operations personnel to assure that manufacturing processes are functioning within acceptable quality and productivity guidelines. Coordinate any changes with production supervision.
  • Provide technical safety assistance as required.
  • Support conformance to applicable safety and EPA regulations.
  • Support the Design and Development group in the design and implementation of projects assigned them.
  • Prepare preliminary layouts and drawings as required to define projects. If required, prepare detailed layouts and drawings as necessary to implement projects.
  • Prepare necessary reports, studies and calculations as required to document concepts, methods, design findings, and recommendations of projects.
  • Through various forms of education, keep abreast of new developments in engineering techniques, machines, equipment, materials, etc. Incorporate the innovations in the engineering functions to the best advantage of the Company.


Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following minimum requirements:

* Bachelor of Science degree, preferably BSME.

* Minimum of three years experience in a process engineering role with exposure to various types of manufacturing processes.

* Recent graduates with relevant co-op/intern experience will be considered.

* Green belt of Black belt certification is a plus.
