Our Boston Data & Analytics team is looking for a Life Sciences Principal who can actively contribute to our growing Life Sciences industry practice.

What You'll Do

  • Actively contribute to the delivery communities at Slalom and support further buildout of the Life Sciences capability, to bring delivery-focused expertise to life sciences data and analytics projects.
  • Define and lead the development of industry leading practices, frameworks, and accelerators for the delivery of foundational data initiatives, aligning with Global Slalom project delivery methodologies.
  • Proactively manage client communications and expectations to ensure client satisfaction in partnership with Slalom team.
  • Make decisions regarding strategy and direction of project delivery through consideration of competing priorities, cost of delay, dependencies, and level of effort.
  • Create repositories of key data trends and point of views for re-use on subsequent projects
  • Work with our delivery focused practices to nurture a delivery focused in the data and analytics team, collaborating across the office to meet client needs.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience as a life sciences researcher/computational biologist or a bioinformatics analyst for a Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Research organizations
  • Experience with clinical, pre-clinical and omics data management processes
  • Familiarity with execution, operations and data of clinical trials
  • Familiarity with drug development process
  • Strong curiosity about disease pathology and tenacious drive to solve complex research challenges
  • Strong interest and knowledge in the Life Sciences sector
  • Ability to operate under pressure and tight deadlines while effectively prioritizing and managing time
  • Able to read research publications and translate results and methods to non-scientific community
  • Able to translate complex scientific processes for non-scientific and technical community.
  • Ability to break down a business problem into smaller problems and create user stories from them
  • Familiarity with many standard bioinformatics tools (e.g. PLINK2, VCFtools, Picard) and data formats (e.g VCF, BAM, etc.)
