Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced data engineer to join our team in a remote position. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems. Overall, you'll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals.

To succeed in this BI engineering position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and organize raw data
  
• Build data systems and pipelines
  
• Evaluate business needs and objectives
  
• Prepare data layer for consumption by end users by building data models in visualization tool
  
• Combine raw information from different sources
  
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
  
• Collaborate with other developers, data analysts, and business users
  
• Lead Projects
  
• Mentor other Data Engineers.
  

Job Qualifications:

• 12+ Years' experience as a BI engineer or in a similar role
  
• Technical expertise with data models and data warehouse design
  
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java and Python)
  
• Knowledge of Data Vault design of data warehouse
  
• You should be proficient in SQL and know about NoSQL databases such as CosmosDB.
  
• Expert Understanding of the concepts ofdata warehousing, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data modeling is essential.
  
• You should be able to integrate data from various sources, such as web services, APIs, and file systems.
  
• Understand how to secure data platform for both Snowflake and Power BI
  
• Understanding how to builddata pipelines
  
• Proficiency in version control systems such as Git and understanding the concepts of branching, merging, and tagging is essential.
  
• Good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn are essential.
  
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; OR equivalent experience.
  

Experience with the following tools and technologies

• QLIK Replicate and QLIK Enterprise Manager
  
• Matillion ETL
  
• Azure Cloud (Logic App, Azure Data Factory, Cloud Storage)
  
• Experience with Snowflake is required.
  
• Data Vault Warehouse Design experience is highly desired.
  
• Power BI

118,200 - 160,000 USD
