SUMMARY:

The Principal Analyst, Business Transformation and Change Management is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, implementing, and leading departmental and company culture transformation and change initiatives. This position will focus on the people side of change, including changes to systems, process, technology and organizational structures. This position operates within broad objectives to ensure optimum effectiveness of transformation and change efforts. This role researches, compiles, and analyzes appropriate and relevant information to identify opportunities to recommend and drive executionof culture and change management practices in relevant business units to achieve targeted levels of improvement in key people-focused performance metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

  • Responsible for the development and delivery of multiple concurrent projects/programs that encompass culture, business transformation and change management.
  • Accountable for supporting business teams to identify and deliver significant business transformation results through the application of employee engagement, change management, organizational culture, and alignment best practices and/or methodologies.
  • Supports various initiatives in people-related requirements definition, documentation of current/future state change readiness and business capabilities, training, internal/external communications, and process development/workflows.
  • Provides expertise in analytical methodology, including data analysis, used to facilitate data driven decision making, including the collection and monitoring of performance metrics used to assess, prioritize, and select business transformation projects.
  • Initiates and leads change readiness, change resistance and problem-solving efforts working closely with relevant internal stakeholders within Advantasure, Emerging Markets and BCBSM.
  • Applies a structured methodology and leads culture, change management, and business transformation activities.
  • Creates actionable deliverables for change management levers, including - communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan.
  • Consults and coaches project teams, managers, supervisors and leaders at all levels in culture and change management best practices.
  • Creates change management strategies, completes change management assessments and assesses and ensures end-user readiness.
  • Supports organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities.
  • Possesses and maintains an extensive comprehensive knowledge of Advantasure business, products, programs (including provider data, networks, etc.), corporate organizational structure (including functional responsibilities), etc.
  • Manages and monitors multiple projects simultaneously by establishing project plans and objectives to ensure goal attainment within defined parameters.
  • Independently develops and plans reports, papers, and/or other materials in a clear and concise manner.
  • Provides expertise and guidance to unit and corporate staff as required.
  • Acts as a liaison between corporate business areas and participates in group or committee discussions.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master's degree in a related field is preferred. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company's learning philosophy, is required. Change Management certification is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

At least seven (7) years of experience in a related field, typically in more than one subject area (e.g. change management, organizational development, consulting, process improvement, project planning, health care policy, business decisions, analysis, or business management). External consulting experience is highly preferred.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:
  • Excellent analytical, planning, problem solving, verbal, and written skills to communicate complex ideas.
  • Ability to work independently, within a team environment, and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational culture, business transformation and/or change efforts.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to effectively multi-task in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate cross functional team meetings.
  • Working knowledge of project management disciplines and methods.
  • Excellent knowledge and use of existing software packages (Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines.
  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) PREFERRED:
  • Formal training in culture and change management, as demonstrated by Prosci Change Management education or similar advanced change management framework/methodology.
  • Change management certification or designation desired; Prosci Certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of Stars, Risk Adjustment, Provider Network Management, and Medical Management a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards. Limited travel may be required.
