RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a growing Global Technology Company in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Senior or Principal Systems Engineer/Hardware Design Engineer for flight control systems and/or Missile systems. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment.Summary:The Design Engineer will be responsible for hardware design and System/subsystem design and architecture development. The role will be 50% design and technical work and 50% writing white papers and procuring funding/grants and strategy. This is a new role and a whole new team they are building; candidate will get to grow and move up the ladder as the team develops. The candidate will be collaborating with cross-sector avionics leads and core Missile Systems group. This position is 9/80 schedule so every other Friday off. The Engineer will be responsible for strategy development and execution. The candidate will also be responsible for Technical proposal support.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BSEE or MSEE with 6-10+ years of experience designing missile avionics and/or systems
• To fulfill the demands of design and development of new products the individual must show self-starting instincts, an aptitude for creative synthesis, and the ability to utilize and quickly learn advanced design and/or analysis techniques
• Strong electrical hardware design, and good communication skills are also required
• Systems Engineering including defining customer requirements
• FPGA and/or PCB Design background
• Experience designing strategic radiation hardened electronics is a plus but not required
• Experience with flight control systems; Missiles ideal; ACS guidance systems is highly desired
• Experience with the design of complex avionics in military, commercial and/or Space industry is a plus
• Experience with Hard Radiation is a plus
