Lasko Products is looking to add a Press Room Manager to our production plant in West Chester, PA. The Press Room Manager will be responsible for leading a team and coordinating the activity of the production in the Press and Fabrication department.

They will also be responsible for the stamping, CNC fabrication, welding and powder coating activities of the business, ensuring that all manufactured components meet the customer specifications

In addition to leading a team, the Press Room Manager will confer with management personnel to establish and implement company policies and goals and production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.

Essential Functions

  • Scheduling jobs into shop
  • Writing CNC Programs
  • Providing technical support to employees
  • Oversees the selection and maintenance of equipment, determination of required resources, and estimation of costs.
  • Coordinates production processes and activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
  • Monitors product standards and develops and implements quality control program and operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
  • Monitors the production processes, adjusts or revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems, and ensures goods and services are produced efficiently and with the correct quantities, quality, and cost.
  • Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.
  • Enforces safety regulations while leading by example.
  • Conducts hearings to resolve or effect settlement of grievances and refers unresolved grievances for management-union negotiations check requests as necessary
Competencies and Abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of applications and use of QC Tools
  • CNC Set Up, programming and operations expertise
  • Strong ability for designing fixtures
  • Knowledge of materials and machining characteristics of those materials

Required Education and Experience
  • CNC Manufactured part quoting
  • Math Geometry, and trigonometry
  • PC Skills (MS windows and MS Office)
