MOR PPM, Inc. seeks a QA/QC Specialist for a capital project in Kingsport, TN that is expected to last 5 months. The QA/QC Specialist must have at least 3 years experience in QA/QC preferably in a pulp and paper industrial setting.

Job Title: Quality Control/Quality Inspector - Kingsport, TN

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have equivalent experience level of a journeyman in the particular craftwork being inspected; for example: welding, electrical, or millwright work.
  • Three (3) years' experience in quality control work relating to fossil power generating facility maintenance and / or modification activities.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of the codes, nondestructive examination, and testing methods associated with the craft work being inspected.
Experience:
  • Minimum of three years QA/QC required
  • Inspector certification(s) preferred
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Inspector certification(s) preferred
  • Reading blueprints and plans required
  • Interpersonal skills such as oral, verbal and written communication and reasoning is required.
Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:
  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
  • Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas
  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
  • Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
