Postdoctoral Researcher

Job Description Summary

Job Description
The Biller lab at Wellesley College studies marine microbial communities, working at the intersection of microbiology, oceanography, genomics, and ecology. We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to advance projects examining the roles of extracellular vesicles in mediating interactions between marine cyanobacteria and heterotrophs. These efforts will involve studies with laboratory cultures as well as field samples, and require the development of new experimental techniques. The successful postdoc will be further encouraged to develop research projects of their own design.

The lab is committed to providing strong mentorship, career support, and training in all aspects of scientific research and teaching. This position includes a competitive salary, benefits package, and travel opportunities. Wellesley College is located ~30 minutes from downtown Boston and ~90 minutes from Woods Hole, and the postdoc will have the opportunity to engage with the local microbiology and marine research communities.

Applicants should email a cover letter (including a short but detailed statement of interest), CV, and contact information for 3 references to sbiller@wellesley.edu. Review of applications will begin July 5, 2022 and remain open until a suitable applicant is found.
