Description:

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to help achieve the vision of Loyola University Medical Center Home Infusion Pharmacy Services by performing the duties in a cost effective, results oriented, and customer focus manner. The home infusion technician, under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist shall prepare medications, order, receive and maintain a perpetual inventory (maintain and establish PAR levels), and be cross-trained in all areas pertinent to maintaining an operational Home Infusion Pharmacy.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education:

Required: High School Diploma

Preferred: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education.

Minimum Experience:

Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience in Sterile Drug Compounding.

Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience.

Licensure/Certifications:

Registered Pharmacy Technician in Illinois

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

Position Responsibilities: Responsible for accurate sterile compounding of medication admixtures in an environment set forth by USP 797 guidelines.
