Seeking Controlled Drug Pharm Techs for a Long-Term Care Pharmacy, located in Euclid, Ohio!

SHIFT: 2nd shift schedule - Rotating weekends

Full time schedule - great benefits & competitive compensation!

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • National or State Pharmacy Certification
  • Must be very familiar with control substance medication names.
  • Basic computer knowledge skills required
  • Extensive knowledge and comprehension of pharmacy terminology
  • Math, and analytical skills
  • One to three years of experience working in a LTC Pharmacy or medical environment preferred.

Overview

The Control Compliance Technician is responsible for the issuing, tracking, and retrieving of Schedule II-V controlled Substance prescriptions from physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for entering all Controls orders from the different folders to be initial review by a Pharmacist.
  • Responsible for initiating contact with the facilities on prescriptions that needs clarity.
  • Responsible for initial contact and follow up calls to physician offices in regards to scripts that requires a valid script.
  • Follow up with physicians for hard scripts to cover for verbal script that was called for emergency.
  • As required by law, responsible for facilitating the signing of prescriptions by physicians.
  • Responsible for review the control scripts before printing of prescriptions to Control Room.
  • Responsible for receiving all signed prescriptions from the facilities and reconcile it against the queue.
  • Responsible for ensuring all prescriptions received have been identified, inputted and tracked in system.
  • As per law ensures all hard copies are appropriately filed and maintained
