The UHealth System at the University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a The Pharmacy Technician 2 at our Lennar Medical Center in Coral Gables.

• CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
  
  
• Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information and maintains patient records.
• Assists pharmacists in filling orders and preparing labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals.
• Receives and stocks incoming medical supplies and drugs.
• Refers providers' calls and medical questions to Pharmacist.
• Participates in orientation and assigned training program to attain competency in pharmacy technician duties.
• Stays abreast of basic knowledge of pharmacy law, regulations and standards, pharmacy informatics and technology including medication dispensing systems, and pharmacy calculations.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Certification and Licensing:

State of FL registration

Experience:

No experience required. {New Grad/Entry}

Skill in data entry with minimal errors. Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports and correspondence

• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
