Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

Cradlepoint is looking for a personable and knowledgeable Payroll Accountant to join the Accounting team! This role helps to provide the necessary support and knowledge that a growing technology company needs to successfully pay its ever growing headcount. The right person for this role must exhibit great interpersonable skills, a solid knowledge base of payroll accounting, and a strong sense of teamwork!

As the Payroll Accountant, you will process biweekly and monthly payroll, liaison for payroll tax and garnishment processing with our global third-party vendors, as well as in North America. You will be responsible for integration and reconciliation of payroll accounting, month end close related tasks including journal entries, assist with 401K audits, and help with process improvement efforts.

What Will You Do?

  • Processing of global payroll on a monthly basis. You will liaise with third party vendors to review and process payroll
  • Processing of biweekly US and Canada payroll utilizing ADP Workforce and Payworks
  • Understand all aspects of basic payroll rules and procedures
  • Prepare required journal entries
  • Respond to notices from taxing agencies
  • Conduct research for outstanding issues evidenced by the monthly reconciliations until successful resolution has been reached
  • Conduct research for audit questions and issues (Field, Quarterly, Annual). This includes 401K audits, year end audits, international audits, etc.
  • Oversees the proper storage and maintenance of all payroll accounting documentation
  • Assist with the timekeeping and payroll system and payroll related items
  • Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time
  • Collaborate with team members to provide reports as needed
  • Analyze payroll issues and recommend corrective actions
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in accounting, finance, business or related fields
  • Three to five (3-5) years of related experience
  • General ledger experience, including posting journal entries
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain precise records
  • Strong excel skills
  • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of productivity tools, including Mircrosoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
  • Can work independently and without supervision when required

Bonus Points:

  • CPP or FPC certification
  • D365 experience
  • International payroll experience
  • Experience in ADP Workforce

Compensation and Benefits at Cradlepoint

Your Pay:

The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

  • $63,700 - $129,950
Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. This variable pay opportunity is dependent upon the attainment of agreed to goals and objectives as determined by Cradlepoint's Senior Leadership team. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Cradlepoint provides generous paid time off, including: 15 days of Flexible Time Off (FTO), four paid quarterly well-being days, and 11 paid annual holidays (includes nine company holidays and up to two floating holidays). Please note that an employee's FTO balance and floating holidays may be prorated in the first year, based on start date. Cradlepoint also offers paid maternity-leave benefits and six weeks 100% paid family leave for all employees.
