Purpose of Position:
This position involves processing the Company's. multi-state, weekly, in-house payroll for 1,200+ employees using Viewpoint and Great Plains. Submit certified payroll transcripts to Federal, State and Local agencies. Set up and maintain subcontractors certified payroll submissions of the Company. Maintain BAT certificates on all Apprentices and enter data by scope of work. Maintain accurate and complete records of all project documents. In addition, must possess understanding of U.S. payroll and tax processes.

Must possess accurate data-entry skills and apply critical thinking ability within all aspects of the position.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintain and document all payroll records
Responds to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns
Generate, review and correct time cards and issue manual checks as necessary
Payroll data entry of new hires, transfers, changes and terminations
Calculate and process commissions, incentives, bonus and supplemental income payments
Maintain and understand employee work location set up for SIT/SUTA/Work Comp
Pulling tax reports and calculating local taxes each month
Collecting and reviewing employee leave accrual and usage data
Calculating wage information for overrides, process payments for employee reimbursements
Auditing discrepancy reports, GL reconciliations in the payroll system
Basic provisions/requirements on Prevailing wage, craft/classes and employee set up
Import/upload electronic time cards into payroll systems
Other duties as assigned.

Accountability:

Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Company employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirement of the Company Orientation
Minimum Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent experience
Prior experience in construction industry a plus
Excellent data-entry skills
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to work in high volume, fast-paced atmosphere
Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner

Associate Career Level:

Receives direct supervision
Performs administrative or technical responsibilities
Objectives based on established guidelines, processes and operating procedures
Coordinates own tasks with a specific range of responsibilities in accomplishing well defined outcomes
Work is generally structured or recurring
