HotFoot Recruiters has partnered with a well-established Distributor in need of Order Selector/Material Handlers in the Phoenix, AZ area.

Position: Material Handler/ Order Selector
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85043
Type: Full-Time, Temp to Hire
Shift:
2nd shift Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm (Overtime is mandatory)

Compensation: $19.00/hr. - Weekly Pay

Steel toe boots are required!

Job Summary:

The Material Handler position assumes responsibilities for staging, replenishing and picking all materials required to fill store and dealer orders. Material Handlers are required to meet and exceed all daily job tasks. Material Handlers must meet operational goals for safety, quality, and housekeeping. The job requires a high level of comfort with electronic motorized equipment and the ability to navigate through a RF scan gun with no intervention.

Specific Responsibilities:
1. Maintain Safe working environment, assuring compliance with all safety requirements.
2. Required to wear Steel toe boot, safety glasses.
3. Assist in receiving, warehouse, replenishment.
4. Picking orders, stretch wrapping, and shipment of paint and sundries.
5. Proper Lifting techniques, and proper handling techniques of lifting heavy items.
6. Picking orders and building orders in a stable manner for shipments across to stores and paint dealers.
7. Pick and replenish orders accurately.
8. Maintain appropriate licenses and certifications for forklifts.
9. Responsible to maintain in good standings attendance and tardiness.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Ability stand for long periods of time and maintain focus
• Regularly cleaning area and maintaining equipment
• Self- directed- able to work efficiently with little direct instructions
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager
• Able to handle/lift up to 50 lbs.
• Extreme attention to detail
• Able to use a RF Scanning gun.

Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 3-6 months of warehouse experience
