Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) is a government contractor for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), that assists conducting medical disability exams for retired veterans.

The Judge Group is seeking a Seeking an Eye Doctor/ Optometrist (MD, OD) to join our provider network as an independent contractor to perform general medical disability examinations for Veterans.

Job Details:

Title: Optometrist

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico (on-site)

Hours: 4- or 8-hour shifts

Length of Engagement: Open Contract

Rate: $162

Scope:

•As an optometry examiner you will be conducting eye exams and completing applicable disability benefits questionnaires (DBQs). DBQs help collect necessary medical information so that the VA may process a Veteran's disability claims.

•Exams are evaluated only to determine compensation and pension eligibility. These are non-treatment exams to determine a veteran's benefits.

Job Description:

•Will be administering & completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) to veterans.

•As a certified medical disability examiner, you gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, diagnostic testing, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations.

•You develop a medical opinion of the likelihood that the Veteran's condition is related to their military service.

Qualifications:

•You must be a provider in good standing, with active license and have your own office. The Veteran will travel to you MD or OD (Required).

•Doctorate degree from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education. (ACOM) or completion of medical school with residency in ophthalmology.

•Active state license in good standing Computer, reliable internet.
