DaVita Clinical Research (DCR), a wholly owned subsidiary of DaVita Inc., is the research arm of DaVita. DCR innovates through retrospective outcomes research aimed at improving care and quality of life for people with kidney disease. DCR assists pharmaceutical and medical device companies in the design, recruitment and completion of clinical trials using its renal research site network. For 30 years we have helped 500+ clients with their development projects. DCR is based in Minneapolis, MN and operates in locations across the US.

The Clinical Trials Management System Operations Manager is a critical member of the DaVita Clinical Research Clinical Trials team, responsible for optimization and continuous improvement of operating and financial processes within DCR's Clinical Trials Management System software application (CTMS, Clinical Conductor), oversight of all system activities, and provide leadership to their team of direct reports. This position will understand the intricacies of DCR's revenue cycle and initiate/drive project work that affects the bottom line of the organization via strategic, measured, and intentional methods of improving the team. They are responsible for close alignment with operations, financial and executive teams and supporting business processes and workflows. The Operations Manager provides and oversees internal and external user support, and the delivery of highly effective training and support to users. With an understanding of clinical research, DCR business processes, strong partnership with various functional stakeholders, and subject matter expertise in CTMS capability & workflows, they play a pivotal role in defining, supporting and optimizing DCR's CTMS, associated internal processes, and contributes to the growth of the organization.

This position offers the opportunity for the team member to work remotely and be based within United States.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
30%- Oversight to and management of key operating and business processes within the CTMS.

  • Study, contract, budget & protocol build

  • Data entry & ongoing system-based study management; metrics, dash

  • boards & reporting

  • Financial study management and flow through to internal accounting team

  • Support other system configuration and data entry for key operational & financial business processes

  • Monitor & report on status of status of system optimization

  • Leadership, development & mentoring of team

30% - Delivers continuous improvement initiatives creating, optimizing, and leveraging CTMS capabilities in support of business processes, including standardizing & systematizing to scale business practices.

  • Ensure ongoing development of proposed new application workflows, process enhancements or improvements to optimize business use case, efficiency, and profitability

  • Oversee gathering, development, and prioritization of business requirements and enhancement or optimization initiatives from system users & stakeholders; incorporate into and deliver roadmap to plan

25% - Customer support & relationship building

  • Ensure ongoing development of proposed new application workflows, process enhancements or improvements to optimize business use case, efficiency, and profitability

  • Oversee gathering, development, and prioritization of business requirements and enhancement or optimization initiatives from system users & stakeholders; incorporate into and deliver roadmap to plan

10% - Oversight and support to highly effective training program, customer support & new user deployments

  • Development of training plans, documentation, and content

  • Ensure delivery of customized training plans and end-user training documentation for all internal & external users including new site deployments

  • Support ongoing assessment of competencies and opportunities and make recommendations to training plan

    5% - Other duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's Degree is required

    • 2 or more years of experience in leadership role is required. You will be building, managing, leading, coaching and developing a team to achieve operational excellence.

    • 3 or more years of experience optimizing key research operating or financial business processes within a CTMS

    • Demonstrated subject matter expertise with Clinical Trials Management System (Clinical Conductor preferred, ideally both Enterprise & Site)

    • Strong demonstrated knowledge of clinical research processes

    • Strong communication, business partnering, problem solving and prioritization skills

    • Familiarity with study electronic data capture (EDC) systems

    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint

    • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and superior organizational and planning skills

    • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical research finances and reporting is strongly preferred

    • Customer or technical support experience, particularly with a CTMS is strongly preferred

    • Experience with eClinical solutions such as eRegulatory, eSource and eConsent is strongly preferred

    • Knowledge of ICH and GCP guidelines is strongly preferred
