Description: Our client, a 30+ year fresh delicious food manufacturing company, is currently seeking a new Operations Controller reporting into the CFO and COO. Plant has 200+ employees centrally located 20 minutes from the Atlanta airport. Local candidate preferred but may offer sign-on relocation assistance. Immediate interviews and hire! Responsibilities

•Financial oversight of operational activities for total Cost of Production, Inventory, Logistics and Purchasing across Gourmet Culinary Partners.

•Controlling of actual price & standard price and preparing analysis for actual cost of production (identify key drivers, provide insights on trends).

•Evaluate and provide financial analysis for product recipe changes, including building of BOMs, ingredients pricing, throughput and labor assumptions, capital investments and incremental fixed costs.

•Coordinate reporting of actuals as part of monthly close process, including organizing and overseeing timeliness and accuracy of period end close, transparency of data, and development, support and understanding of operational KPI's (daily, weekly, monthly).

•Prepare Variance Analysis reports as part of monthly reporting, including explanation of key drivers and defined actions for improvement.

•Support supply chain process and production planning, providing guidance and analytics where needed across appropriate inventory levels, scheduling, warehousing, etc.

•Drive capital approval process, including ROI analysis and prioritization of projects.

•Analyze purchasing opportunities to reduce costs and maximize value across organization.

•Lead ERP implementation of costing module; support training and roll out across roles and locations.

•Participate in annual budget, with ownership of operational components on Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow across multiple locations.

•Perform forecasts and simulations during the year according to actual results and new volume-mix & production plan assumptions. Provide clear visibility to Operations team and management team on outlook, challenge business on analysis and drive initiatives to close gaps.

•Drive capital approval process, including ROI analysis and prioritization of projects.

•Challenge assumptions in seeking cost improvements across the factory. Seek for and support cost improvement opportunities, be an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives validate and review proposed savings.

Qualifications (Education and Experience)

•University Degree (BA, Economics, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, etc.)

•Min. 8 years of experience with strong costing background and hands-on plant experience

•Ability to walk production floor and identify issues and solutions versus relying on backend reporting

•ERP manufacturing knowledge, with preference to Microsoft Navision knowledge and previous implementations

•Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills across all levels of organization; ability to partner with non-finance to drive operational excellence

•Good organizational and planning skills within an entrepreneurial environment

•Strong analytical and excel skills with ability to drive processes, identify gaps and report building

•Flexibility to travel, as necessary, to visit production locations
