The NP will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a program of specialized health care for the stroke patient population. Promotes a collaborative relationship and effort between the medical staff and professional nurses toward continuity of patient care and efficient use of resources. Serves as a role model for professional nursing practice. Daily work will focus on daily patient care and clinical operations and will also include aspects of Comprehensive Stroke Center quality improvement initiatives. Depending on service census and with some flexibility based on acuity, may take on up to 2-3 patients independently.

40 hours, Monday-Friday day position

Qualifications
  • current active licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Certified Nurse Practitioner
  • certification from a national certifying body acceptable to the Board of Registration in Nursing as an adult/family/or acute care nurse practitioner
  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • current experience in acute care neurosciences setting strongly preferred
