We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mid Level WMD/CBRN Policy Analyst to join our talented team. ** This position is contingent upon award/funding**

Position Description:

The Mid Level CBRN/WMD Policy Analyst will support operations research, systems analysis cost/benefit/risk analysis, technology and/or program assessment, professional development programs, and provide general program support.

In this role you will...

  • Provides subject matter expertise to review policies and programs, assess gaps/limitations, make recommendations for improvement, draft technical documents, and offer opinions in matters pertaining to programs.
  • Assist in analysis of policy, geopolitical environments, and alliances/partnerships/treaties to inform Strategic Trends on implications of future WMD and emerging threats.
  • Conduct research and develops analytical methodology to apply such techniques to policy issues.
  • Develops evaluation, planning, and analytical processes and techniques for measuring effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative and technical programs.
  • Identify program problems of issues; perform extensive inquiries into issues, problems; determine data sources; develop interview questions related to program evaluations.
  • Evaluate study findings, draws conclusions, and identify omissions, questionable assumptions, or inadequate data in analytical work of others.
  • Perform analysis on the effect of proposed policies, guidance, and law with relation to cost, resource allocation, or customer behavior.
  • Advise on public policy affecting program; assess political/institution environment in which decision are made and implemented.
  • Conduct interviews
  • Evaluates efficacy of program in achieving programmatic goals and how those goals align with the Agency mission.
  • Consolidates, reviews, and analyzes information and data.
  • Writes and briefs evaluation reports.
Experience Requirements:
  • 3- 5 years total related experience
  • Possesses knowledge of CBRN as well as new and emerging concepts, advancements, and related/enabling technologies that have implications to United States and international Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) policies and programs.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent additional experience is preferred.
  • Previous work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Current DOD Top Secret/SCI Clearance is required
Other Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative
  • Ability to produce a high level work product requiring minimal supervision
