Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Medical Gas Inspector to join our team located in Raleigh, NC.

The Medical Gas Inspector works onsite at customer hospitals and is responsible for testing, inspecting and repairing medical gas systems. The Medical Gas Inspector may work independently or assist other team members as necessary, working in patient care areas, mechanical areas and on construction sites.

Medical Gas Inspector

Performs medical gas inspections on existing systems and maintains the credential of inspector ASSE 6020

Conducts maintenance and repairs on medical gas systems and maintains the credential of a maintenance person ASSE 6040

Performs verifications on new medical gas systems and maintains the credential of verifier ASSE 6030

Calibrates field equipment to NIST traceability

Communicates with customers on a frequent basis regarding inspection and testing results

Documents all inspections, repairs and maintained equipment results

May lead small project teams of independent contributors for medical gas systems

Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years technical or mechanical experience
  • 3-5 years customer service experience
  • OSHA 30 qualified
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to understand architectural and engineering floor and riser plans
  • Strong computer and mobile tools skills (Microsoft applications)
  • Required to work off hours and weekends
  • Vehicular travel five days per week typical, minimal air travel
  • Capable of standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Capable of lifting light to medium weight
  • Due to customer requirements, candidates must be fully vaccinated (at least two weeks have passed after second vaccination shot, or one week if single dose vaccine), or able to qualify for a medical or religious exemption, as determined by the customer.
