**Job Summary:**
The Managing Director of Incident Response will be responsible for overseeing and leading the incident response team, managing the organization's response to security incidents, directing threat hunting initiatives, overseeing threat intelligence operations, and guiding the creation and maintenance of incident response playbooks.

**Responsibilities:**

* Lead and manage the incident response team, providing strategic direction and guidance.
* Oversee the organization's response to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
* Develop and implement incident response strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance the organization's security posture.

* Perform threat modeling and profiles for relevant threats and threat actors.

* Build and maintain the threat intelligence capability.
* Direct and coordinate threat hunting activities to proactively identify and mitigate potential security threats.
* Manage the collection, analysis, and dissemination of threat intelligence to support proactive security measures and incident response efforts.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of incident response activities with overall security objectives.
* Guide the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of incident response playbooks, ensuring they are up to date and effective.
* Provide leadership in the development and execution of training and tabletop exercises for the incident response team and relevant stakeholders.
* Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continually improve incident response capabilities.

* Work directly with the Director of the Security Operations Center in the development and testing of new threat detections.

* Provide detailed reports on threat hunts, intelligence, and metrics.

* Work directly with other security operations pillar leads to ensure optimal response capabilities.

* Plan, coordinate, and execute tabletop exercises.

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are a plus.
* Proven experience in incident response management, with a deep understanding of incident handling, digital forensics, red/purple teaming and malware analysis.
* Strong background in threat hunting, including experience in using threat intelligence and analytics to identify and mitigate security threats.
* Demonstrated expertise in creating and refining incident response playbooks, as well as conducting tabletop exercises to test and improve response capabilities.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
* In-depth knowledge of security technologies, tools, and methodologies, as well as a solid understanding of current security threats and trends.
* Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

**Additional Information:**
The Managing Director of Incident Response will report to the Senior Managing Director of Security Operations and will play a critical role in enhancing the organization's incident response and threat management capabilities.

The estimated salary range for this position is $185,000.00 to $205,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
